Thank you for this, I've been meaning to author something similar, but I'd choose the exact same words. After 20 years of depression my death was averted by the words "I'd rather see you institutionalized than dead." Two weeks on the psychiatric ward and an ongoing series of changes later, I now lead the happiest life possible. You can, too. So now, I give these words back to the community. I don't know who you are, but with all my heart: I'd rather see you institutionalized than dead.
