I buy into this -- I very rarely remember a fact or tidbit of information that I quickly search for, especially when compared to what I remember when I read an article or news story and pick up a factoid from that. Am I better or worse off from it? I'd almost assuredly argue better off, as quick access to virtually any information is one of the biggest highlights of our time.
