Maybe "friendly to a sufficiently powerful runtime" should replace "Unix-friendliness"?
- fusiongyro 14y agoThat's good. I mean, people complained about using Git in Windows for ages because it was too Unix-friendly. At the same time, almost nobody actually likes SML/NJ, and I think part of that is because it has its own strange build system rather than autoconf/make/cmake etc. and until a few years ago really couldn't produce standalone executables.
