The author is propagating the stereotype that introverts are anti-social. This is not the case. We simply require more time to ourselves for mental wellness. This does not preclude socializing or going to larger events. Exactly what I was about to post. The author sounds like he has a serious social phobia. I can definitely relate to what he says, but those are not qualities specific to an introvert.
