The bigger problem with the Chinese Internet is that it's just slow. Foreign links to the Internet are often congested and will slow down incredibly at times.

The bigger problem with the Chinese Internet is that it's just slow. Foreign links to the Internet are often congested and will slow down incredibly at times. It sucks. The Great firewall is mostly just a pain in the ass. However, it's easy to get around. Use FoxyProxy and OpenVPN to a server in the US (or one of the hosted VPN companies). I end up tunneling all my traffic most of the time. Except for this post, let's see if it works... :)
