  That doesn't seem fair to me in this case, Maxious. Telling a daughter that certain circumstances makes her more likely to be a victim of crime is not the same as blaming her. Even advising her to avoid those circumstances is not blaming her. It's perfectly consistent to counsel a daughter to avoid getting too drunk with hormone-and-mysogyny driven teenage boys, for fear of her safety, AND to love her and support her completely were she to ignore your advice and the worst happened.
