The last time I bought a new car, I used AAA's prenegotiated purchasing service: http://www.aaa.com/AAA_Travel/NewCar/buying_car.htm http://www.aaa.com/AAA_Travel/NewCar/buying_car.htm (this was in california; it doesn't seem to be available everywhere). So I don't have a cool story or any tips, but it was about the least stressful purchase I've ever made and was done pretty quickly.
