Is there a benefit to using EC/2 for mysql if the majority of the work is reads rather than writes (Something like 90/10)? A large site I work (non-profit) could move all our mysql DBs to EC/2 with something like FathomDB, but I worry that it will be more expensive (and not that better performance-wise) than our current dedicated server at Rackspace.
