  "not empty of wonder or beauty, but empty of purpose." Does the idea that a sunset does not have "purpose" offend you?

    No but its still a stupid way to describe it. From what he wrote, I align much more with the religious view of sunsets than his alternative

      So you think "To gaze upon a sunset... is to encounter the intentional act of another mind"? You don't object to the idea of a sunset without "purpose" but do object to the idea of one without intent?
