Our school system has been using FOSS products for years. In effect, it is a donation to a non-profit organization. However, I'm not aware of any of the creators reaping a tax deduction for their donation. Donating a used car to a non-profit has a well established path to this end. Are any FOSS authors using a similar method to attain some payback?
