I'm amazed how many people are chastising the OP for worrying about job status and pay. He's NOT. He's explicitly saying that DESPITE making MORE than his peers, he feels like a loser. That's a healthy way to feel. Save up, cut your costs, and then quit your job and try to do something amazing.
