I would never attend an event with an entirely generated poster becuase that tells me you didn't care enough, and that attitude is probably permeating into the rest of the event.
Similarly, back before these models existed, I'd never attend an event with an overly stuffed "marketing" feel to it. It's the same crap just with a different tool attached to it.
I'd rather attend an event with a poster made of stock clip art, but a human decided the composition, and added doodles in between because that at least gives me the impression that SOMEONE is caring about the event.
Basically, it feels detached from the actual point of an event: community.
- spongebobstoes 14d agothe organizer cared enough to make and distribute a poster, and they were small enough to not hire a marketing firm those are the hallmarks of the community events you claim to want
- Gigachad 14d agoAI poster signals that this is a cash grab temu dropshipping operation. A human made even if shitty poster signals care and effort.
- doawoo 14d agoNo? The hallmarks of an events I want to attend (you made some assumptions about me so I'll clarify) are those that INVOLVE their community, I'm personally involved in helping organize some events in my area, I've personally met people who make the fliers for those events. Having discussions while we move items around in a composition takes like 30 minutes max and I get to have a conversation with a member of my community. Outsourcing the efforts for an event to a marketing firm is the same as outsourcing the efforts to a model owned and controlled by a major company
