The post buries the actual change. Quote from the update: "We've clarified that Dropbox may now only be used by those over 18." It's in both the Dropbox Services Agreement and the Terms of Service sections. Effective January 1, 2027, published 2026-09-01, verified 2026-09-18 CST at blog.dropbox.com.
No mention of what happens to existing accounts registered by minors. The Privacy Policy part of the same update is separate: it only adds detail on how data is handled when one account is used to access multiple individual and team workspaces.
