- fragmede 16d agoYes? We didn't stop testing on monkeys, we just got a lot more selective about who got told about that. It's not pretty, but in order for science to advance, with the technology we have today, it involves testing on animals, because it would be worse to test unsafe things on humans.
- thriving_earthw 15d agoI think "it's not pretty" is doing a lot of work here. As necessary as animal testing may be (disputable) you aren't allowed to violate animal welfare laws to do it. Not to mention that violating those laws in the course of experimentation compromises the experimental validity of your results.
