- sajithdilshan 10d agoThat would actually break the language barrier. He can think in English, but speech can be in any language with automatic translation.
- sanex 10d agoIt's not a stretch to imagine people wearing headsets that get the broadcasted speech data and then replay it in the user's native language.

- hollow-moe 10d agoThis is incredible. Unfortunately I can't help but picture some executives/politics salivating at the mouth just by the idea of being able to plug into your very brain in a handful of years.
- throwawayqqq11 9d agoSparkle a little of Alon-distrust over it. Maybe its all fake again. We saw more sad music and emotions than really open convetsations.

- fragmede 10d agoYes? We didn't stop testing on monkeys, we just got a lot more selective about who got told about that. It's not pretty, but in order for science to advance, with the technology we have today, it involves testing on animals, because it would be worse to test unsafe things on humans.
- thriving_earthw 8d agoI think "it's not pretty" is doing a lot of work here. As necessary as animal testing may be (disputable) you aren't allowed to violate animal welfare laws to do it. Not to mention that violating those laws in the course of experimentation compromises the experimental validity of your results.
