I am extremely hands-on with the LLMs and it feels like I'm pairing with someone who is doing the typing. My partner is brilliant in some ways but incredibly stupid in other ways. It can't replace me; for the most part I could replace it, but the work would take 10X longer. Definitely feels like "my" code at the end. I find it very satisfying, it takes away much of the tedium of programming (ie the typing).
