Maybe he doesn't like the fact that LLMs are making his job obsolete.
- happytoexplain 14d agoThese kinds of posts make the HN rule, "Please don't comment on whether someone read an article," very difficult to follow.
- nchmy 14d agoits a fundamentally silly rule, because it is quite clear that people regularly comment without reading the article. Or, perhaps worse, read the article and didnt make the slightest effort to understand it.
- javanissen 14d agoMaybe he doesn't like them for the extremely clear reason he laid out in the article he wrote.
- archagon 14d agoI’d rather read a classic Fowler article than literally anything written by an LLM. Indeed, writing well about complex topics has become more important than ever. (But it’s not clear to me if Fowler has any remaining interest in doing it.)
