I was arguing that bringing in massive amounts of people in such a short time that the other levels of government have no time to plan to deal with the logistics of it.
--to be clear, my anger is at the politicians not the immigrants.
And as another comment pointed out: yes bringing in lots of people puts upward pressure on rents and downward pressure on wages which will lead to an increase in homelessness and can lead to an increase in drug use as a result (of homelessness). And then a vicious circle of drug use contributing to unemployment and homelessness.
Did you knee-jerk it because I mentioned immigration? I BLAME the politicians NOT the immigrants. Look up how many MPs are landlords. They were blinded by their own self interest.
