Small, single lane roundabouts are easy and comfortable to use for cyclists. Upfront the bikelane ends/merges with the main road. Inside a cyclist is as fast or faster than cars. Go with the flow. Use the whole road.
The Netherlands have separate lanes for bikes. I think it's unnecessarily complicated in some cases, but it probably works well in general.
