If I can use AI to create something that fits my needs to 100%, it's less likely to fit the needs of others equally well than if I had created a generic program.
- verdverm 15d agopersonalized software, for people and companies, i.e. the SaaSpocolypse still not clear how this will play out, I have more personal software, but I was doing that before LLMs were an everyday thing
- itanium 15d agoNow it's faster and less cumbersome. It's not even about being able to write software but more about writing it much more effortlessly while picking e.g. the best programming language for a specific purpose w/o the specific need of reading this or that documentation.
- verdverm 15d agoI was even thinking this while spelunking the OpenCode repo, there is a ton of complexity in there for things I care zero about, like powershell support, which created a situation where they dynamically construct the tool description and I cannot simply override it with a simple text file like I can for the built in agents. Have to go to the full TS / plugin route
