Robux has a lot of abuse, so is more likely to deny a legitimate transaction as a false positive. He probably used his own credit card first, it didn't work, and then used his backup card, the corporate card, instead. Then claimed it as a personal expense and paid it back.
Corporate cards are generally set up to allow this. If you're traveling on company business, there's a relatively high chance your personal card gets denied. Especially when on corporate travel -- if you use the corporate card for airplane, hotel and car, the personal card use for souvenirs looks a lot more like stolen card use. Companies don't want employees inconvenienced while on company travel, so they allow use of the company card for personal expenses as long as the expenses get properly claimed and paid back.
- quietsegfault 17d agoI love my kids. But I would never ever buy them robux. And I would never ever buy shit like that on a corporate card. Imagine just explaining that.
- trvz 17d agoImagine buying stuff they want for your kids?
- johnnyanmac 17d agoImagine buying a new luxury car's worth of virtual currency for your kid on your company's dime. sure, I wanted a Viper as a kid, but I don't think that would be a good enough reason for this.
- conradludgate 17d agoThat's literally not what happened.
- joquarky 17d agoNothing literally happens.
- dumbmrblah 17d agoHe bought YouTube ads with his companies corporate credit card for his kid because his kid was complaining he wasn't getting enough digital attention… there’s so much wrong with this scenario and a couple steps beyond “my kid wants a new stuffy.”
- Daviey 17d agoMost companies I think now make you accountable for the card, and unless you provide a receipt showing it is a company expense then you are accountable.
- MichaelRo 16d agoMain problem was using a corporate card. I don't even know what that is, the concept just doesn't exist here. Second problem was using a credit card. I know what that is but definitely don't have one, nor has anyone I know around me. Debit card only. You have money, you pay. Don't have money, tough luck. Learn to save.
- mpeg 17d agoLast time I worked corporate the card even allowed cash withdrawals, and would automatically mark them as personal expenses so I could pay them back. Very handy when I don’t want to use my money for whatever reason but also don’t want the company to know everywhere I’ve been
- em-bee 16d agowhile i agree with the reason, if you have to pay it back, how does withdrawing cash from a company card make any difference?
- mpeg 16d agosometimes you don't pay the whole amount back, say I went for food and drinks I might expense the food but pay the drinks out of pocket plus, it was a neat way of having a company supplied line of credit and defer payment for a couple months with no interest
