Fun fact oil tankers only go about 12mph, so it takes months for it to cross, the same time it would take to bike the route(if you could)
- hdgvhicv 11d agoOil tankers travel 24/7, so 12mph is nearly 300 miles a day. You won’t do that on a bike for two weeks straight.
- downrightmike 10d agoThey don't go at that speed the whole time. They do that journey in just short of two months
- hackingonempty 10d agoThis years RAAM (Race Across America) winner finished in 8 days 19 hours, that's almost 350 miles per day. Normal people no, but top ultra endurance cyclists can do 300 miles a day for two weeks straight. Especially if they are not self-supported and/or the course is not too hilly.
