Go to settings and select something other then the defaults.

Maybe true of Gnome. Not true of KDE or XFCE.
Its also an odd reason to switch to Apple.

What isbhappenning here seems to be someone who has tired of tinkering but cannot resist tinkering with Linux so has chosen to switch to an OS that does not allow tinkering rather than use a Linux distro with its defaultsm
