Show HN: Loss. a tiny satire about AI progress
I wanted to parody where AI seems to be heading. You start as a manual inference unit pressing a button for the next token, then systems take over; agents, sub-agents, approvals, swarms. It’s Universal Paperclips for the agentic AI era, and a small exploration of where predicting the next token might eventually take us. What’s the worst that could happen?

- tdobson 20d agowow, I love the difference on mobile vs desktop!
- pbobak 20d agoThank you! I tried to pay homage to where the device at hand has come from. BeOS and PalmOS
- bigstrat2003 20d agoYour site hijacks the back button and makes it damn near impossible to leave. This is extremely bad behavior, don't do that.
- pbobak 20d agoAh fair point, I completely missed that, thank you, fixing now!
- sorobahn 19d agoSpent a bad amount of time on this! Thanks for making it!

- pezo1919 18d agoIf someone would record the progress and would make a video of it, I'd gladly watch through, but unfortunately I do not have the time to engage with it.
