The friction between coming up with an Idea and implementing it is a feature in most corporates. Otherwise managers will be too focused on creating shiny slides and marketing nonsense - which is happening with AI.
- bunderbunder 19d agoAlso just a lot of overemgineering. The last project I kicked off, I straight up told my manager that in the pre-Claude days I’d have pushed back pretty hard on automating this particular task. And even with AI I’m still pretty sure that building and maintaining the automation ended up being more expensive than just continuing to do this particular task by hand. The real business value is one more thing to list as an accomplishment at performance review time, and nothing more.
