- ghaff 17d agoTo be honest, I'm not sure to what degree my reaction to increasingly random dips into recent Trek has been around them just not being that good as a whole vs. just being tired of the franchise after many decades at this point.
- TiredOfLife 16d agoThe thing is Lower Decks exist. And is good. So there are people that can make good trek, they just are not given access to the live action stuff.
- ghaff 16d agoIt's different. I'd probably hesitate to use the term "good" even if maybe better than some of the more recent live action I've seen overall.

- ghaff 17d agoTOS was what it was. Some episodes were better (and aged better) than others. After a pretty week start, TNG was pretty solid. DS9 was good too far more often than not. While other series had their strong points, I'm not going to go to the mat to defend any of them.

- ghaff 17d agoThere were definitely some good episodes and it probably got better over time. I'd probably give it a mild thumbs up overall with reservations.
- ethbr1 15d agoThe overall Star Trek experience since DS9 feels like: Fans: "The last series was the worst ever!" Star Trek producers: "Hold my beer..." Fans: "You know, the old series weren't so bad in retrospect."
- tekla 17d agoOh thank god. It hurt my soul watching the horror that is the new ST. Starfleet Academy was almost unspeakably terrible
