- jdlshore 12d agoBrown dogs chase cars != all dogs chase cars. And especially, != black dogs chase cars. 80s hobbiest programmers are GenX, and maybe most execs are GenX, but that doesn’t mean both groups share the same opinions.

- tanseydavid 12d agoAdditionally they likely never were "hobby programmers", so the specific generation (Gen-X) may be a match, the question was defined more specific.
- gnz11 12d agoNo, but that doesn't stop them from pushing vibe coded software at meetings and demanding it be put into production or otherwise regurgitating verbatim what their agents tell them.
- foobarchu 11d agoOr worse, demanding you "use more ai" in your work because clients have been questioning whether the company is "all in on ai"
