If someone is going to spend 3 hours learning "as much music theory as they can", I don't think they should start with the history of temperament in music. Also, I think that about 70% of the worlds population does not know what a square root is.
- strenholme 12d agoI don’t think anyone said anything about having only three hours to learn music theory. First principles should be taught to computer programmers, who have the needed math (e.g. knowing what a square root is) to understand music from that perspective.
