Whether they fixed it due to backlash or actually was the algorithm I cannot tell > Yandex said its image algorithm normally gave low priority to very recent material for a bare place-name query, because historically someone searching a city name was usually looking for ordinary pictures of the city.

> Yandex said That's a lie. I was unable to force it to show me pictures of the massacre no matter which search terms I tried to use. And that was many many days after the fact. Like, weeks.
