- Gigachad 20d agoI wish Streetcomplete had an ios app. The ios editors are all far too cluttered and hard to use on mobile. I've almost been considering making my own editor like streetcomplete but as a web app so it's cross platform.
- choroid 20d agoThere's progress being made on an iOS app for StreetComplete. https://github.com/streetcomplete/StreetComplete/issues/5421 https://github.com/streetcomplete/StreetComplete/issues/5421
- Gigachad 20d agoOh that's awesome, Looks like I'll just wait and see then.
- habi 19d agoAre you aware of https://mapcomplete.org/ https://mapcomplete.org/ ? Web-based and thematically focused.
- ninalanyon 19d agoOne of the great things about StreetComplete is that it works perfectly offline.
- marisen 19d agoiOS has Go Map! Which from my understanding is a very powerful mobile editor. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Go_Map https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Go_Map!!
- Gigachad 18d agoThe problem is "very powerful" is the opposite of what I want in a mobile editor. I've tried some of the existing options but they are just not ergonomic to use. I want to fill in missing details with an easy to use spacious UI, not have a fully functional GIS mapping tool squished on to a phone screen while I'm standing on a busy street with sun glare on the screen. Street complete has that perfected.
- habi 17d agohttps://every-door.app/ https://every-door.app/ is very usable for quick edits, Go Map!! has a steeper learning curve.
- sargunv 19d agoWorking on it! There's a mostly functioning but somewhat buggy slop "probe" branch: https://github.com/streetcomplete/StreetComplete/pull/7068 https://github.com/streetcomplete/StreetComplete/pull/7068 we used to discover the remaining blockers, and I've been clearing those blockers in my MapLibre Compose library while working through a non-slop port of the map in https://github.com/streetcomplete/StreetComplete/pull/7088 https://github.com/streetcomplete/StreetComplete/pull/7088 I made a few dozen contributions from my iPhone while out on a walk last week.
