  Apparently it was only valid for a day or so. Whether they fixed it due to backlash or actually was the algorithm I cannot tell > Yandex said its image algorithm normally gave low priority to very recent material for a bare place-name query, because historically someone searching a city name was usually looking for ordinary pictures of the city.
