Cabin in the woods

This was a pleasant surprise, but the second half was pretty lame and uninspired. It should have ended as a pitch-perfect exercise in horror movie lampshading, with a shadowy, unresolved conspiracy. With the first hour, then walk away. Then again, I really liked Cloverfield for not getting too hung up on explanations.

This is not the movie you think it will be and I think most people give it a cursory lookover and think it's a generic horror film. It is more than just a cheap horror film and definitely worth watching.
