    We use incomplete descriptions all the time. Like I could say "I'm an early riser". Is that reductive?

      would you care to share your interpretation of the function of the word "just" upthread? because that would appear to be the operative part doing the reducing that you've conveniently left out here.

        I could also say "I'm just a teacher". No significant difference made by "just" in this context, beyond giving flavour.

  The reason people squash bugs with almost zero guilt is because they see the bugs as "nothing". If people voluntarily advertise themselves as "no things" or "just something" then you make the justification for similar treatment totally fine. How do you think those who who commit genocide see their victims?
