Which is above and beyond what they owe the rest of us since they did not create that problem. The United States government is ideological in a way that westerners don't really understand. Trump is too via his desires regarding Greenland and Canada but the American system isn't too alien to our own views - they play tennis and vacation in Europe and all that stuff. Their government is simply not interested in the things that you and I are interested in."

Bad argument for many reasons (and lazy). But Maduro was a criminal, supported Russia evading US and EU sanctions, and his gang and their disastrous economic policies resulted in around 1/3rd of Venezuelans leaving the country resulting in a humanitarian disaster.

  Nevertheless, Venezuela remains in the same situation as before. Aside from Maduro, the corrupt and criminal government remains intact, the head of state handpicked by the US president, no public elections in sight. There has been no political change whatsoever apart from the takeover of oil fields.

    Ok then what's the problem? We abducted some random criminal guy and nothing changed for Venezuela (which you know is a lie lol) except the US gets access to oil (which helps bring down global prices) and to stop Russian shadow fleet tankers.

      You are too deeply mired in propaganda for any meaningful debate; you should read more neutral, international news sources to get a clearer picture. This was all about oil; not drugs, not terrorism, not communism. One less criminal is nothing for such a corruputed state. The US has simply gained yet another vassal state. Nothing else has changed. Venezuelan people are in the same shit as before.
