Because I really wanted to like it? Because it didn't get boring immediately? Because the updates kept promising to make it better? I dunno, does that justify my actions enough to satisfy you, or are my observations somehow invalid because I kept beating my head against the thing for what we apparently both agree was far too long?

If I notice I'm not enjoying something I just drop it. Everytime I've tried to push through something boring, I end up with countless hours wasted hoping for it to get better. Like a slot machine waiting for a good hit. I feel like many modern games are just stuffed with features, but a boring core. It's only when I play the game in an unconventional way that I start to appreciate it on my own terms.
