Show HN: See Sounds on Your Webcam
- sicutarinaru 19d agoIt doesnt seem to work properly on the webcam, and theres some lag
- ChilledTonic 20d agoJust tried it. Created almost totally random patterns on the screen in a silent room.
- NietzscheanNull 20d agoMany webcam mics have auto-gain enabled, so having it on in a silent room will cause it to crank the gain to the point that the noise floor becomes audible (or in this case, visible). You might want to try recording a sound clip to see if the same effect occurs (i.e. you can hear the static fade out when louder sounds like speech hit the sensor after a period of auto-compensated silence)

- OttoZ05 20d agoIs it normal that it doesnt detect my mouth when i speak ? the sound of my voice creates random patterns. it works well for other sounds tho
- doodlebugging 20d agoAm I the only one out here who doesn't have a webcam or a microphone connected to their daily driver pc?
- tamimio 20d agoIt’s either not working or the work flow is confusing and I messed something up, at least write some context to understand what is it and how to connect both. Also, it does max the cpu just opening that link.
- olejorgenb 19d agoI have to accept access to camera AND remember this to make this work. "Only this time does not work"
