Trump promises $5k dividend in convention speech, but only if Republicans win
- KingOfMyRoom 23d agoWould you qualify this as buying votes? Is it even legal?
- Jtsummers 23d agoHe can't promise money since Congress hasn't approved it, and this would be north of $1 trillion so I guess he's looking to set more record deficits.
- iririririr 23d agosee. this is why he gets away with it. people are so exhausted that he literary offer money for votes, and the few that even pay attention goes "is this obviously cartoon criminal crime even legal?"
- dabinat 23d agoIf it is illegal, I don’t know who will actually enforce the law. Certainly not the DOJ and most likely not the Supreme Court either. But it’s an empty promise anyway. Once they’ve got what they want they’re not going to pay out.

- BLKNSLVR 23d agoImagine if the Republicans lose: He couldn't even buy the election for 1.3 trillion dollars That's how much he is disliked.
- fuzzfactor 23d agoImagine if they win. It proves he's a worthless SOB unless you add over a trillion dollars.
- bediger4000 23d agoThe definition of bread and circuses, the kind of thing that conservatives used to warn everyone about voting for, and warn against policies that just gave money away. Remember Mitt Romney's 47% dumbass remark? In larger context it was about people who wouldn't vote for him because they lived off federal dollars. Will no conservatives denounce Trump for trying this?
- drgo 23d agoHis word is gold. Just ask his contractors. But seriously, people living in actual banana republics would be embarrassed by this level of nonsense.
- k310 23d agoI see a printing press cranking out CONFEDERATE DOLLARS. A trillion or so? And wasted. Except at strip clubs. Make it rain!
