Yes, America (the US) is still beating China in the AI race, but it's got no way to keep the Chinese models from catching up. Also the amount of money burned in the US on AI is unfathomable. From that metric China may as well win with minimal investment and very little waste.
- verdverm 23d agoperhaps they meant "beating" as in aggressively trying to disadvantage while losing the "leading" distance?
