    Isn't it insane that even in the face of complete annihilation through one of our inventions, we go "that wasn't us"? We deserve that shit ten times over

    I agree. It won’t stop us from othering the source of our demise as quickly as we are able. There’s also the argument to be made that your child is their own person, and you only have so much responsibility/control over their actions. Of course we have a good chunk of the world screaming that this child is obviously destined to be a homicidal psychopath, but what is a parent to do?
