iTerm Team Cooked
- gigatexal 25d agoIt’s becoming bloated. I uninstalled it. I’m now on rio and ghostty. It was a nice run.
- bredren 24d agoDid you notice a performance thing? How do you like those other options so far? Any tips?
- gigatexal 24d agoI basically live in rio all day long. It’s fast. Looks great. Only annoyance is I have to do TERM=xterm-256color ssh … cuz they don’t know what Rio is But otherwise it’s awesome Ghostty I like too. Fast hackable easy to configure I just use it every now and then probably because launching it via spotlight is longer than typing Rio
- bredren 25d agoInteresting to see all of these tab / orchestration features. I have a bunch of skill tooling that build out iterm2 windows that cover worktrees specified in a project-config.yml. It even includes tab color. More recently I added a skill to recover all of these windows in their prior state including resuming the conversation the agent was running. This is to recover from the need to restart from an OS update or something bad happened.
- evanjrowley 25d agoAntigravity recently asked me if I wanted to make a Android app in Dart. Why not an Android version of this iTerm2 companion app?
- treyreynolds 23d agoI made this beta plugin with Codex. It adds Codex sessions to the Session Status sidebar in iTerm2. The sidebar can also show Claude Code sessions. The plugin adds profiles to start new Codex sessions. The source code is licensed under MIT. Tell me about installation problems. https://github.com/treyreynolds/iterm2-status https://github.com/treyreynolds/iterm2-status
