- eloisius 25d agoBuying it from CapitalOne like everyone else?
- joncrane 24d agoIs CapOne unique among banks and sells data that e.g. Chase and Citi don't?
- kart23 25d agospending taxpayer money on buying the taxpayers data from credit card companies. imagine paying someone to buy your own information to spy on you, pretty incredible system that we've come up with
- mrguyorama 25d agoExplicitly bypasses your rights too! Cops don't need a warrant if they can buy it with your money.
- pauldavis 25d agoThis is exactly "information retrieval charges" from the film "Brazil"
- convolvatron 25d agoI worked a little on a finsec program in the early 90s. I had an anonymized dataset with bank account deposits and withdrawals and credit card transactions. I don't know how complete it was, but dividing by the US population the total number of records made it pretty feasible that it was the whole thing.
