Highly disagree that either is more sensible than the other, especially given how each culture actually uses dates in their speech.
Or we could follow Japan and just use ISO 8601 directly and write 2026-08-09.

- JohnTHaller 1mo agoI use this for everything except where I write the month out or use an abbreviation. Much easier.
