Ask HN: Should Ebook publishers provide a syntax highlighting option for code listings?

I own tons of Ebooks and I run into a brick wall when I see a code listing - mainly because of a lack of syntax highlighting (no syntax highlighting makes a code listing look one dimensional to me). If it is so easy to "personalize" a PDF with my name and email address, why stop there? Syntax highlighting for code listings should be an option when making a PDF purchase.
