Mastodon is an utter mess. Between that and censorship, we will just stay on X.

  As much as I dislike many of the users on X, I really appreciate that it feels like one of the last uncensored social media platforms on the internet. Reddit is handing out permanent AI bans now for any and no reason at all. It's full of people using words like "unalived" now to avoid an automatic ban. The other platforms are no better. If free speech means accepting the speech of people I disagree with, I gladly make that bargain.

    X is not, in any way, uncensored when saying the word "cisgender" gets your tweet algorithmically shadowbanned and doing anything Elon doesn't like gets you banned even if you didn't do it on X.

          That is what happens on the Reddits of the world. On X though, you can criticize Musk all you want. Hell, I've seen plenty of death threats, those deserve to be reported though. There's plenty of leftists on there, it's a true town square.

      That's hardly the least controversial word to get you shadowbanned, and that isn't to say gender politics is something much controversial. Basically everything get you it.

    This. A good platform isn't about just having people you like on and creating an echo chamber through speech controls. Places that are like that feel downright dystopian.
