I don’t know if I love the way these progressive policies are instituted but I observe this very human tendency to chase narratives rather than macro trends.

- barry-cotter 1mo agoSeattle public school spending per student has ~tripled in the last twenty years. There has been no meaningful decline.
- techblueberry 1mo agoTell that to the folks that wrote the article then.
- barry-cotter 1mo agoDecline is used in the article only to refer to test scores and budgetary shortfalls are laid at the feet of a school board caving in to union demands. At no point is there any suggestion that money is a limiting factor in raising student academic performance.
