- TitaRusell 1mo agoNo country started out as an island of prosperity. They got there through hard work, sensible decision making and yes a little luck. When in the 16th century all of Europe got involved in religious wars a Dutch leader decided that religion was a personal choice. This was not magic everyone could have come to this conclusion. But noone did.
