- marginalia_nu 1mo agoBoth are pretty good, but if you go into the former expecting the latter, you're in for a disappointment. The former is best enjoyed as a separate experience.
- infotainment 1mo agoIt had amazing music and visuals, but the story made absolutely no sense, and consequently the game fails as a sequel to Chrono Trigger IMO. If, for some reason, you want to enjoy reading a lengthy online screed about the issues with Cross's storyline, I recommend this: https://www.chronocompendium.com/Term/Chrono_Cross_-_A_Mea_Culpa_for_a_Sea_of_Plot_Holes.html https://www.chronocompendium.com/Term/Chrono_Cross_-_A_Mea_C...
- mock-possum 1mo agoOh hush, chrono cross was fine. It had a neat elemental combo battle system, an excellent soundtrack, a story that basically made no fucking sense, and like a million optional characters. It was fine.
