  It's largely 4chan "look what they took from you" cultural panic newspeak, either ironically or unironically. "sovl" has been variously used to describe LaserDisc, summer camp, bench seat trucks and the McRib.

      Surely there must be more to it than that? At least some sort of connotation that "soul" lacks? Otherwise why use "sovl" instead of "soul"?
