It's totally ok to submit your own projects to HN but you've been overdoing it in two ways: (1) too many reposts of the same projects (a small number of reposts is ok, but 4 or 5 is excessive), and (2) your submission feed consists almost entirely of your own stuff, and that is excessive. A good proportion would be about 1/3, and the rest of the submissions should be unrelated links that you just find personally interesting.
I hope this explanation is useful! You're certainly welcome on HN.
- syumei 1mo agoThank you so much for the kind feedback. Your point makes a lot of sense, and I apologize for focusing too heavily on my own projects recently. I love the HN community, and I will make sure to contribute more thoughtfully and meaningfully going forward.
- dang 1mo agoYou're welcome, and now I have to apologize for piling on, but there's a separate issue: Can you please not post AI-generated or AI-edited comments to HN? It's not allowed here - see https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html#generated https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html#generated and https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=47340079 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=47340079. Of course, it's impossible to know for sure what was LLM processed or not, but a few of your comments (like this one) have been getting classified that way, so I figured I should let you know!
- syumei 1mo agoHey, thanks a lot! I’d never really read the terms and conditions seriously, so I learned a lot!
