Everyone is bashing OP and adding salt to his (mental) injury, blaming him for not finding a good job, and then proceeding with “self improvement”, “false positivity” etc etc, as if it’s the person fault to be in this position, instead of trying to look at the bigger picture on how to regulate the market, look into why the economy is being this bad, and other factors, instead, they go after the victim (the candidate) instead, because it’s always easier to go after the low hanging fruit. Since Jan/2025, 90% of jobs went to healthcare and social assistance while the rest are shrinking, as a result, 90% of all job growth went to women! (1 2), It’s why you never see a blog like that written by a woman don’t you? Do you personally know a jobless woman? Meanwhile, how many jobless man you personally know? I think this is a sign of an economy collapse, when the economy turns to nurturing and taking care of older people rather than the need of young men who can build new projects, you know it’s aging, and OP is the victim of such results. Lastly, the people who are going after his resume, regardless whatever your opinion is, we are not supposed to be ALL 10x engineer, you are not supposed to be a superstar with gazillion repos maintained and contributed to (which is easy to scam and game btw), some people just want a normal job with normal day, being productive but not innovative, it’s a job, not your life, I don’t see the same is being demanded from a nurse, or an office clerk, or an hr meme job, it’s a fucking job!
